At Orphan Life Foundation, we firmly believe every child has a
right to a quality education.
For orphaned and underprivileged children, education is not
just a need; it’s a lifeline to a brighter future. It provides
the skills, knowledge, and confidence that children need to
break free from the cycle of poverty and hardship. By
equipping these young minds with the right tools, we help pave
the way for them to become responsible, successful adults who
can contribute positively to society.
Our Education Projects at a Glance
Operation Education Project (OEP)
Objective:
To provide resources for better education to orphaned
and underprivileged children in the underserved areas of
the Philippines, India, Columbia, and Africa, ensuring
they have access to the knowledge and skills needed for
a secure future.
What we do
We fund academic programs, develop educational facilities,
and supply learning materials to various orphanages and
schools.
Impact and Future Goal
Thousands of children have been enrolled in schools, with
a significant percentage advancing to higher levels of
education. We aim to raise more funds to magnify our
impact and reach more orphaned children across the world.
To facilitate the commute of underprivileged children to
schools in Burkina Faso.
What we do
We provide bicycles to children to make it easier for them
to get to and from school.
Impact and Future Goal
Over all, we distributed 300 bikes, enabling more
children to attend school regularly and focus on their
education rather than the hardships of their daily
commute. We wish to increase this number so more children
are empowered to pursue their educational dreams,
unburdened by the challenges of distance and
transportation. 2022 was our last successful
completion of bikes project in Burkina Faso, and we know
first-hand the profound impact on the lives of these
children and their extended family. These bicycles will
not only serve as a necessary means of transportation to
school, but also as a symbol of hope for new opportunities
and possibilities for the orphans in Burkina Faso.
To provide adequate school and classroom supplies to
children studying in unfavorable conditions, primarily
in the rural areas of India and Africa.
What we do
We work with other NGOs to collect funds via fundraisers
and online charity campaigns for school maintenance. We
use this money to furnish classrooms with desks so
children in villages don’t have to study sitting on hard
floors.
Impact and Future Goal
Classrooms that were once empty and dull have transformed
into vibrant learning spaces filled with the laughter and
engagement of eager young minds. Children are less likely
to drop out of the education system because of ‘desk-less’
classrooms.
After installing 780 desks
from 2011 to 2021, we could only raise funds for
100 desks in 2024. We aim to replenish people’s
interest in donating to DCP, and our new target for
2024-2025 is to install 400 desks for four schools.
To ensure that no child’s education is hindered due to a
lack of basic supplies like pencils and stationery.
What we do
Working in collaboration with several international
organizations and independent schools that want to promote
education access for the underprivileged, we collect and
distribute pencils and other stationery to schools in need
in the district of Didyr.
Impact and Future Goal
We have supplied thousands of pencils in Didyr, allowing
children to participate fully in their education, take
notes, and complete assignments.
From
2018-2019, we raised $2,000 to fund the
back-to-school shopping for five schools. From 2019-2020,
we supported six schools with a total donation of
$3,500, and now, our goal is to provide basic
school supplies to the whole district which is equivalent
to $5,000.
To remove barriers to education by building schools,
thereby reducing the educational disparity in Africa.
What we do
We collaborate with other NGOs to raise funds and develop
educational programs. We focus on building additional
classrooms to existing schools so more children can have a
roof over their heads while they study.
Impact
So far, we have successfully built six additional
classrooms in a school we first visited back in 2016. Our
future plans include building four more classrooms to
expand educational opportunities for these children.
Every contribution counts. Whether it’s a box of pencils
or a monetary donation, your support can transform lives
and light the way for these deserving children toward a
brighter, more promising future.
Donate today and join us in making a world of
difference for these children.
